Animal kingdom - preserved animal specimens embedded in plastic blocks (each 75mm x 100mm) in presentation case.  Specimens included are: Porifera, Coelenterata, Platyhelminthes, Annelida, Arthropoda, Mollusca, Echinodermata and Chordata. The specimen names are printed on the sheet beneath the blocks, the blocks themselves are labelled only by number  enabling the specimens to be used for classification exercises. There is a total of 70 plastic embedded specimens.
Plant kingdom - preserved plant specimens embedded in plastic blocks (each 75mm x 100mm) in presentation case. Specimens included are: Algae, Ascomycetes, Basidiomycetes, Lichens, Liverworts, Mosses, Pteridphyta, Angiosperms (monocots, dicots, insectivorous, parasitic, saprophytic, epiphytic.)
There is a total of 50 specimens in the kit which are labelled in the same manner as the animal kingdom set.
Anthropology fossil skull set - click for full description

Anthropology fossil skull - addition to skull kit, Homo sapiens neanderthalensis

Binocular microscope - with built-in 240 volt light source and mechanical stage, eypieces: 10x, objectives: 4x, 10x, and 40x.

Fossil set - 17 mixed plant and animal fossil specimens embedded in a plastic block measuring 150mm x 75mm. Each specimen is individually labelled with name and geological period.

Programmable exercise computer - with power output display, adjustable loading, built-in pulse rate monitor and calculates approximate energy expended. Dismantles for transport.
Heart rate monitors - set of 10 heart rate monitors. Consists of a transmitter which straps onto the chest and a receiver with digital display which is worn on the wrist. Monitors heart rate continually during rest or exercise.
House wiring model - shows wiring and polarity of 240volt mains power active, neutral and earth, neutral link,  fuses, power points and lighting.
Human anatomy - joints - a set of 4 plastic models: hip, knee, shoulder, elbow.
Human reproduction and contraception "Magnel Kit" - consists of a vinyl coated steel panel with a picture of the male reproductive system on one side and female on the other. Magnetic add-on pieces show the menstrual cycle, ovulation, foetal development and contraception methods. The coating on the panel allows labelling with crayon or whiteboard marker which are easily erased.
Foetal development models - set of 8 models showing foetal development, normal and breech positions and twins.
Hydrogen fuel cell models - basic model demonstrates solar hydrogen technology.
The "HyRuner" car demonstrates the concept of propulsion from fuel cells.

Proscope .Hand held microscope comes with software and 3 lenses x10, x50, x200.
It will require the use of a stand alone computer or laptop.
The software enables the user to take a short video or still shots of the viewed object. It has a built in light and is very user friendly.

Radar Gun. Hand held speed gun
Resuscitation model - for demonstrating resuscitation methods.
Resonance tube - Demonstrates sound waves in open and closed tubes. Connects to sound generator, amplifier and oscilloscope (not supplied.)

Solar hot water panel - a lightweight, portable demonstration solar panel with a water storage capacity of 1.2 litres. Because of a large surface area to volume ratio, temperature increases of 2o per minute may be achieved in summer conditions. Pipe outlets allow the insertion of thermometers or thermocouples to monitor temperature differences in the panel. The angles of the panel and removable reflector are adjustable.
The panel measures approximately 500mm x 650mm.
Solar photovoltaic cell - an array of silicon cells which produces an electrical potential of 12volts. The power output is approximately 0.7watt which is sufficient to trickle charge a 12volt car battery or drive a small electric motor. The unit measures 460mm x 360mm.

Sound level meter - low range measures 0 to 80dB, high range measures 80 t0 120dB.
Sphygmomanometers - set of 10 digital sphygmos.
Spirometer (Vitalograph, pen & chart recorder type) - used to determine lung capacity. An individual's performance may be monitored and compared with expected norms. The results are plotted on a special chart via a stylus. The kit comes complete with recording charts, disposable mouthpieces and lung function tables.

Telescope (8inch Meade) - the telescope is packed in a foam lined metal carrying case. The case contains the main telescope assembly with motor drive unit, 2 eyepieces MA 9mm (222x) and MA 25mm (80x), eyepiece holder, 5 x 24mm viewfinder, 240volt AC power cord, tripod support bracket (star), mounting screws and comprehensive instruction manual. A field tripod and equatorial wedge are also supplied.  DO NOT attempt to observe the sun through the telescope - instant and irreversible injury to the eye is likely to result as well as damage to the telescope.

Telescope (5inch Celestron) - The telescope is complete with motor drive unit,  25mm (80x) eyepiece, eyepiece holder, 5 x 24mm viewfinder, 240volt AC power cord, mounting screws and comprehensive instruction manual. A field tripod and tripod mounting bracket are also supplied.  DO NOT attempt to observe the sun through the telescope - instant and irreversible injury to the eye is likely to result as well as damage to the telescope.

Videoflex camera - a video camera lens mounted on an adjustable stem with microscope attachment adaptor. The lens focuses from 10cm to infinity enabling subjects to be viewed directly or through a microscope. Plugs directly into video recorder and is powered by a 12volt power supply (included in kit.)
Water analysis kit - the Palintest water test kit is a simple but very accurate method of determining levels of dissolved salts in water samples. Special reagents, which are compressed into tablet form, are dissolved in 10mL of the water sample contained in a special vial made from very high optical quality glass. The change in colour of the sample is measured using a photometer and the digital readout is used in conjunction with a calibration chart to determine the concentration of the substance under test. Test tablets are available for nitrate, nitrite, phosphate, sulphate, fluoride, molybdate, potassium, iron, copper, manganese, zinc, aluminium, ammonia and chlorine.
Water testing meters - digital electronic meters which enable the following measurements to be taken: temperature, conductivity, salinity, pH and dissolved oxygen.
