Equipment Repair (updated January 2008)

Each year, the Regional Technicians Group conducts  'Repairs & Maintenance' inservice for laboratory staff to enable them to perform some minor repairs on site. As a supplement to the equipment repairs section in the 'Science Laboratory Manual', a Repairs Guide is included on this website. This guide is a summary of the inservice course.

After training, laboratory staff are encouraged to perform their own science equipment repairs.

Repairs can be organised through the normal repairs contractor, following the repair procedure in place in the school, or any specialist repairer.
