Professional Development for Laboratory Technicians:

The Regional technician have arranged to deliver the following courses over 3 weeks. Morning tea and coffee will be provided on all days.

Day 1:


Meter Repairs

 

Basic soldering techniques,  a guide to various components and what they are used for. Determination  sizes of resistors, capacitors diodes, meter types, diagnosing faults.
Bring your meters for repair and the Technicians will instruct you on how to repair your meters.


Please note that this is a full day course and you will need to bring your own lunch or purchase from the canteen.

Day 2

Microscope Repairs.

You will be shown how to service, lubricate and  repair you microscopes both monocular and binocular. The course will cover fault recognition and what equipment you will need to repair microscopes successfully. Please bring your own microscope to work on.

Please note that this is a full day course and you will need to bring your own lunch or purchase from the canteen.

Day 3 Miscellaneous  Repairs.

This course  is to assist in the repairs and maintenance of  common science equipment please bring equipment that you need help to repair.
